Saint Brigid mounted icon

Description

Saint Brigid is a 6th century female patron saint of Ireland. This 4×6″ laminated icon is mounted on a 5x7x3/4″ painted wooden plaque.

In 2021 I was asked by Bishop John, our bishop of the Worcester and New England  Antiochian Diocese, to create a series of icons for our Western Rite parish, St. Stephen in Western Massachusetts. He’d seen my Christian picture book The Nativity and felt I was equal to the task. I’ve been an Orthodox Christian for 40+ years now, and have studied the art of different traditions of iconography.  It has been a privilege and honor to create icons for my parish.

A major portion of the proceeds from the sale of my icons will be donated to St. Stephen Orthodox Church in Ludlow, MA.
