Adirondack Birch-Scratchboard

Description

This is an archival scratchboard drawing of a birch tree on Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks, drawn on location (plein air) in the fall of 2023 during Fall Color Week, organized by Eric Rhodes and Plein Air Magazine. It is the first time I’ve done a scratchboard from life. I did a few more on the trip and plan to do many more in the future. 5×7 inches on Ampersand 1/8 inch Archival Scratchboard, sealed with archival varnish so it can be framed without glass.
